CSIR-NET/JRF
CSIR-UGC hold a national eligibility test twice a year in the month of June and December for JRF and Lectureship (LS). Approximately 16000 students appear from Maths stream and among them approximately five hundred students awarded eligibility certificate from CSIR/UGC, which make them eligible for teaching in various degree institutions all over India. Meritorious students get JRF in which they enjoy scholarship of about 25,000/-per month and in addition annual contingent grant of Rs. 30,000/-better among them may get interview/ written call from CSIR for SPM (Shyama Prasad Mukherjee) fellowship and successful candidates get about 20,000/- per month as scholarship and a contingency grant of Rs. 70,000/-per annum.
The minimum qualification required is MA/M.Sc. with atleast 55% marks (For SC/ST 50% required) where as age limit for JRF is 28 yrs. which is relaxed upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, women, physically handicapped and OBC applicants. There is no bar on age to qualify NET for Lectureship (LS). For more details log on www.csirhrdg.res.in
